The model and the NFL quarterback with 6 Super Bowls to his name met in late 2006. This picture-perfect couple started from a simple blind date; though Brady was in a relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, he and Gisele felt a strong connection. The pair met at West Village wine bar Turk & Frogs in 2006, and the model later reported that it was love at first sight for her.

On August 22, 2007, Tom's child with ex-Moynahan was born—a son named John "Jack" Edward Thomas Moynahan. Two years into their relationship, Tom finally proposed to Gisele by making up a story about her flooded apartments and Brady fixing it. When Gisele got to her apartment, she found her home decorated with candles and rose petals with Brady down on his knee with a ring in one hand.
They got married in 2009 in a private ceremony in Santa Monica, California. The entire wedding was planned in 10 days and was an intimate occasion with steak, champagne, and cake on the menu. On Saturday, the pair marked their 13th wedding anniversary with a romantic throwback Instagram post. The pro athlete and the runway star tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Santa Monica Catholic Church in front of about 20 immediate family members and friends. Gisele donned a white off-the-shoulder lace wedding gown with a long train and a lace-trimmed veil, while Tom opted for a black suit with a gray tie. For the reception, the Vogue cover star changed into a sleeveless white sequin Dolce & Gabbana dress. The six-time Super Bowl champion wore a white dress shirt under a beige vest and white trousers.
