Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tried to offload their massive Beverly Hills estate for almost a year, but now they are pressing pause. The ex-couple decided to keep the 38,000-square-foot home, at least for now, after failing to sell it at their asking price.
Back in July 2024, the "Wreckage of You" singer and the "Argo" actor listed the home for a sky-high $68 million. That was just weeks before Lopez filed for divorce in August. It didn’t go as planned. No takers, no traction, and way too many costs just to hold onto it.

Bennifer / IG / Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck snagged the property for $60.85 million in May 2023. The estate was meant to be their forever home, bought just months after their big July 2022 wedding.
That dream didn’t last!
As the relationship crumbled, so did the plans to live there as a couple. Selling it seemed like the cleanest option. But the price tag and the timing got in the way. By May 2025, they slashed the asking price to $59.95 million. Still, no buyers.
No Buyers at the Moment
As we speak, the mansion is off the market. Not because someone finally bought it, but because the ex-couple didn’t want to take a loss. A luxury listing that sits too long starts to look stale. Pulling it off now lets them reintroduce it later as a “fresh” listing.
It also bought them time. Lopez reportedly didn’t want to rush the sale. The singer is currently living in the mansion while her new Hidden Hills house is being renovated. Affleck, on the other hand, was more eager to sell and move on. That tension didn’t help.
The estate spans 5.2 acres in one of L.A.’s most exclusive areas. Inside, it is loaded with 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, and enough garage space for 12 cars. It can host up to 80 vehicles on-site.
The extras are over-the-top. There is a sports complex with a boxing ring, a pickleball court, and a basketball court. Add a zero-edge pool, a private gym, and a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse. Even the caretaker has a dedicated house on the property.
One of the mansion’s biggest talking points is its look. Originally French-inspired, the home got a full makeover after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck moved in. They went for a sleek, minimalist design that ditched the original charm.
That change didn’t sit well with everyone. Some fans loved the clean lines and modern feel. Others thought the new look stripped the place of personality. In the high-end market, aesthetic matters. That renovation might have hurt its appeal to certain buyers.

Bennifer / IG / Reports say Affleck wanted to be “done” with the house. Lopez, not so much. She was more hesitant to let go, which led to a stalemate.
Now that they are fully divorced, the mansion is no longer a shared dream. But it is still a shared asset. Lopez gets to stay put for now, but decisions on the property will have to be made eventually.
Jennifer Lopez is staying busy. She is focused on her Las Vegas residency, her film “Office Romance,” and her music. Her new single “Wreckage of You” takes clear aim at the pain of her divorce.
Likewise, Ben Affleck is also single again. He confirmed it in April 2025, joking that modern dating isn’t easy. He said, “My phone hasn’t rung yet,” and meant it. Dating is harder when your last relationship was this public.
He is focusing on sobriety and trying to find balance. Sources say he is dating casually, but nothing serious.
