Kids who grew up watching Amanda Bynes in various comedic stints a la Saturday Night Live know how she was a promising comedian, so much so that she even got her own project called The Amanda Show in the kids’ channel Nickelodeon and she was even likened to Carol Burnett. But everyone knows everything went downhill starting 2010, when she announced her retirement from acting.

Amanda’s ring was said to cost $600,000

But now, a year after she checked into a rehabilitation center, a lot of things have changed. According to a source, stepping back away from the limelight has been helpful for the former child star in steering her life back to the right path again.

The 33-year-old is allegedly at a sober living facility and, of course, one of the telling signs that she’s currently doing good was her recent engagement. Amanda revealed that she said yes to a man whom she referred to as the love of her life.

She made the big announcement on Instagram with a picture of her humongous ring, an emerald cut that experts estimate to be worth $600,000. This set the internet ablaze as they wondered who the lucky guy is, especially after she posted a selfie with him.

Sleuths discovered that her fiancé is Paul Michael, however, the newly engaged celebrity has remained mum on the details. According to a source, Amanda and her boyfriend met late last year and she is happy with him now.

Her last film was Easy A in 2010

It certainly was a cherry on top of the She’s The Man star’s impressive accomplishments in the past year. In June, Amanda finished her schooling at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, which she had been enrolled in since 2014.

In November 2018, months before her graduation, she gave a candid interview and shared she wanted to return to acting, giving her fans a little ray of hope that their idol was gearing for a comeback. Amanda also expressed the desire to into what she was then studying by launching her clothing line.

Amanda and Her Career

Born in Thousand Oaks, California in 1986 to a dental assistant mother and a dentist dad, young Amanda already showed her interest in acting, even performing at a Los Angeles comedy camp, where she was spotted by a producer from Nickelodeon.

At 13, Amanda got her eponymous show

By 10, she became a regular in All That, the iconic sketch series in Nickelodeon that highlighted her comedic prowess. Only three years later, Amanda got her own project where she played different characters alongside several talented actors.
