Television homes represent the plot, the theme, and the characters in the show. Some of these iconic television home sets have become so legendary that people would pay to live in those homes!
Fans want to relive and recreate some of their favorite scenes from those shows in these homes. These homes don’t just bring out nostalgia, but some of these homes sound like astonishingly good deals for real estate.
Friends
For example, Monica Geller’s apartment from the hit series Friends was certainly too good to be true. It was situated at the corner of Bedford Street and Grove Street, one of the busiest roads in New York.
Monica was a chef, and in a few seasons, she had no job while her roommate started out as a waitress and then finally got a professional job. Even with the rent fluctuations in the 90s, the rest must have been around $2000 per month that neither of the residents in the apartment could afford.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
The Bel Air mansion from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is America’s favorite and most sought-after place to live. The hit tv series starring Will Smith shows the glamorous and luxurious living of Smith’s rich family.
The house contains 10 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and who can forget the iconic kitchen and living room where some of the best scenes took place. The entire house portrays an ultra-wealthy family living in a high-end neighborhood and a boy coming from an average household where they were blessed to have food on the table 3 times a day.
This year the cast and Will Smith have announced, much to the delight of fans, that they would be able to book the house on Airbnb. The demand to stay in the house was so high that the Airbnb app crashed as soon as the announcement was made.
Gossip girl
Blair Waldorf apartment in Gossip girl spoke of a lavish lifestyle that was filled with designers. Located on 1136 Fifth Avenue, on the corner of 5th Avenue and 95th Street in the Upper East Side, the apartment even had a golden color palette associated with the wealth and style throughout the series.
The Seinfeld show
Jerry Seinfeld’s apartment in the series Seinfeld shared a lot of Monica’s apartment ideology, as a hanging space with friends and family with the most bizarre and unexpected things happening around.
His apartment spoke about an average lifestyle with furniture bought at a discount despite playing as a famous comedian who even worked with NBC for some time. Perhaps not the most luxurious out of all the apartments in the lost, but certainly one that has some of the best and funniest memories.
Everybody loves Raymond
Since we are talking about iconic tv homes, we cannot help but include the famous house of Ray and Debra, in the show “Everybody Loves Raymond” which is located at 135 Margaret Boulevard in Merrick, New York.
What was more special about this house was the fact that Raymond’s parents, Frank and Marie, lived a street across from his house and came by every day, unannounced!
