News outlets have gone wild over the recent developments in the Kevin Federline and Britney Spears custody battle over their children. If you are unable to recall, then let us remind you about what has gone down.
It all started when Federline's statements about Spears came to the spotlight following the latter's wedding to her long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari. Now, things are taking a deadlier legal turn as Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, called out her ex-husband for publishing a video that allegedly showcases Britney Spears in the middle of a verbal fight with her sons.
A Bitter Ex
In a statement to Us Weekly, Spears's Lawyer praised Britney and called her a brilliantly talented, extremely hardworking icon who is loved and respected by her millions of fans across the globe. He also took a jab at Spears’ ex, mentioning that the same could not be said about Mr. Federline, especially after he went on to give an interview that he knew would hurt the mother of his children, Britney Spears.
Spears’ ex-husband gave an interview to British network ITV where he spoke about his ex-wife and their children's relationship with their mother. In the interview, he claimed that the children have decided not to see her as of now. He also added that the conservatorship was something that saved her life, although it has been known to be a controversial topic for Spears herself.
The Shocking Videos
Britney Spears also responded to her ex’s claims in a now-deleted post where she talked about the fact that the situation should’ve been handled privately and not online. She also commented on how her sons have expressed their dislike towards her during her visits. A few hours later, Kevin clapped back at the pop star by airing videos that allegedly show Britney arguing with her sons when they were younger.
In the caption, he added that he was not willing to allow his sons to be accused (by Spears) after how they’ve been treated. He continued to state that it hurt him deeply to have to upload these videos from the time when their sons were 11 and 12. He ended by saying that the lying needs to stop and that their children will grow up better than this.
This resulted in Britney’s lawyer shutting down the claims and mentioning that Britney has fully supported and loved her children and that Federline has crossed his boundaries by violating the privacy of the mother of his children. He also pointed out that uploading these videos has violated the cyberbullying laws.
Now there is radio silence at Federline’s end, but it is safe to say that this was an extremely immature move and that should’ve been kept away from the public eye.
