In the first kind, a person will eat the typical amount of food he/she consumes per day and then the following day, he/she will only eat 500 calories. The second one involves having an eight-hour window when they can eat and then fast on the remaining hours of the day.
When it is time for you to eat, it is advisable that you consume nutritious food than others that are high in calories but less in nutritional content. Plus, the expert suggests picking fiber-rich foods that keep you full longer.

It is still best that you consult with your dietician first before starting on any dietary approach, especially since intermittent fasting would require one to only eat within eight hours a day.
